I created my own company idents during the post-production of the 2 minute film opening I produced at AS. The outcome of this was never quite completely accurate and often the use of too many filters would make the footage quite grainy. At A2, I made the decision not to create idents for the short film.
I learnt from the decisions I made in post-production at AS and this informed decisions I have made in post-production at A2. Although it was more time consuming to record the sound myself. I utilised the software available to me in a better way producing a much more successful film at the end of the process.
This allowed me to become more familiar with the tool available and how to use them. Making the post-production decision not to create idents gave me more time for the editing of my media production at A2 producing a more successful film overall. Recording the sound effects myself created a more realistic sound than importing them from Final Cut Pro X. Linked to the film by using the polaroids and wedding photo in poster and used stills from the film for the review.

At A2 post-production decisions were more clearly thought out and considered all aspects of my film. At A2, I needed to import the sound of someone falling down the stairs as this was a key aspect of my film.
Without post-production you would not have a successful finished film to distribute. This was much better than the filters and colour correction tools. At AS I needed to import sound effects of footsteps to create a eerier atmosphere to one of the scene in my film opening. More freedom at A2 with the tone of film — better than AS.
From AS to A2 my understanding and experience of post-production has improved greatly. Editing is a big part of the post-production process. It was worth while as the sound effects were much more realistic than in my AS film opening so the overall outcome of the A2 short film was better. However, at A2, I recorded the sound effect I needed myself at a later stage.
They did make my film opening more realistic and professional but took time away from the editing of the footage.This essay will prove that media does contribute to violence in our society by examining music, video games and Web Sites.
